Who was Henry Plummer? Dr. Will Mayo claimed that the best day's work he ever did for the clinic was the day he hired Henry Plummer. Indeed, Dr. Plummer's contributions to the development of Mayo Clinic were second only to the Mayo brothers themselves. He was the chief architect of the 1914 clinic building, the 1928 building (now the Plummer Building) and Mayo medical record system.
