Dining Out - Three Happiness
By Andrea Faiad
Three types of cuisine: Cambodian, Chinese and Thai, including vegetarian appetizers, soups and entrees.
After owning Battambang Market on North Broadway for four years, Chet Kong decided to complement his grocery with a restaurant.
He opened Three Happiness at Barlow's Plaza, employing the same chef, Houen Tith, who worked at the location's previous three Thai incarnations under a different owner. Kong also hired two other chefs, Chinese and Cambodian specialists, to complete the restaurant's trio of cuisines.
Kong, who's lived in Rochester for 16 years and is the married father of two children, says his restaurant promises the flavorful, fresh Asian food customers enjoy, plus his commitment to consistency and business longevity.
