Dining Out - Chipotle

By Andrea Faiad

Fresh food fast featuring burritos and tacos.

With lines sometimes out the door, the national chain Chipotle crashed Rochester with a bang when it opened a few weeks ago.

It's theme is fresh food fast, and features burritos and tacos.

"We do things a little bit wild, a little bit crazy," says manager John Hopp, explaining that the music is loud and interior is industrial-looking. "We keep things simple so we can focus on the details of the food."

Hours
Open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Value
The purposely simple menu offers the choice of a burrito (rice, beans, meat, salsa, cheese or sour cream), a fajita burrito (same as a burrito but peppers and onions instead of rice), a burrito bowl or tacos, with beans, chicken, steak, shredded beef or shredded pork for $4.95 to $5.60.

Sides include chips and guacamole for $2, chips and salsa for $1.25 or guacamole for $1.35.

Atmosphere
Cafeteria-style service with spacious, metallic decor and pulsing music.
